Fire Doors
Need fire protection services?
Fire doors are a core part of Krasi Fire Protection’s passive fire protection offer, providing critical protection to escape routes, compartments, and high‑risk areas by holding back fire and smoke for a specified period. Properly selected, installed, and maintained fire doors help ensure that corridors, stairwells, lobbies, and flat or room entrances remain usable as safe routes for evacuation while firefighters tackle the incident.
Krasi Fire Protection can support projects from design through to installation and inspection of fire doors, making sure each doorset (door leaf, frame, seals, glazing, and hardware) is compatible, correctly rated, and suited to its location and use. That includes advising on appropriate ratings (for example FD30 or FD60), self‑closing and latching hardware, intumescent and smoke seals, vision panels, and compliant signage so that the complete assembly performs as a tested system.
Installation quality is as important as product choice, so our teams focus on correct clearances, fixing methods, and sealing around frames to maintain the fire and smoke resistance of the surrounding wall. We also help clients integrate fire doors into the wider fire strategy, coordinating with compartmentation lines and other passive measures so doors work together with fire stopping, barriers, and structural protection rather than in isolation.
Beyond installation, Krasi Fire Protection can assist building owners, managers, and duty holders with regular fire door checks, remedial works, and documentation to support ongoing compliance. Routine inspections help identify issues such as damaged leaves or frames, missing seals, failed closers, or unauthorised alterations that could compromise performance, allowing timely repair or replacement and keeping people, property, and escape routes better protected over the life of the building.
