At Krasi Fire Protection, we design and install fire barrier systems that keep fire, heat, and smoke contained—protecting lives, safeguarding property, and helping buildings meet the highest standards of passive fire safety and compliance. Fire barriers subdivide buildings into fire-safe zones to slow fire and smoke spread, protect structural elements, and buy critical time for evacuation and emergency response, making them one of the most effective and cost-efficient ways to improve overall building resilience.
We provide a complete service from survey to certification, including site assessment, professional installation to manufacturers’ instructions and relevant standards, integration with wider passive fire protection (fire stopping, fire doors, cavity barriers, structural protection, and compartmentation), and full documentation for building control, insurers, and ongoing maintenance. With specialist passive fire expertise, tailored project-specific solutions, and robust quality checks, we support residential, healthcare, commercial, education, industrial, and mixed-use buildings—whether new build, refurbishment, or live occupied sites—delivering long-term safety, compliance, and peace of mind.
FIREFLY® fire barrier systems we install
- FIREFLY® Apollo Lite 30:30: a flexible fire barrier that maintains compartmentation through roof voids and ceiling voids, fitted around existing structure and services.
- FIREFLY® Zeus Lite 90:30: a vertical fire barrier system for loft and roof spaces that need a higher fire rating.
- FIREFLY® Phoenix: a temporary fire barrier, formed carefully around existing building services to keep a building protected while permanent works go ahead.
Working in occupied buildings
Much of our fire barrier work is in buildings that stay open, such as health centres and hospitals. We plan around the people using the building and work weekends where that keeps disruption to a minimum. See our case studies for FIREFLY® roof space compartmentation at health centres in Nottingham and a Nottinghamshire hospital.
Tested and certified
Every barrier is installed to the manufacturer's tested details, photographed and documented for handover. We also support clients with fire testing and product development, including tests at Warringtonfire and a test build in France.
